Biography

Tim Merlier (born 30 October 1992) is a Belgian cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam Soudal–Quick-Step.
Considered to be one of the fastest sprinters in the world, Merlier has nearly thirty wins as a professional, including Grand Tour stage victories at both the 2021 and 2024 Giro d'Italia and the 2021 Tour de France, and is a two-time winner of the Belgian National Road Race Championships, winning in 2019 and 2022. Merlier also competes in cyclo-cross, having previously raced at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder.
